Vaughan lies in the heart of the GTA and it's GTA's 5th largest city, but what Vaughan is best known for is its tremendous communities and neighbourhoods which all have their own perks. Close to Highway 400 and 427, Vaughan residents enjoy fast access to the bigger GTA cities, while they are still able to pursue a quieter lifestyle in the beautiful homes in one of the Vaughan communities. If you also consider Vaughan as an option to settle down, here are some of the best neighbourhoods in the city that appeal to different homebuyer profiles, from families and young professionals to downsizers.

Vellore Village
A relatively young and new community, Vellore Village prides itself in top-notch amenities and great properties and homes not older than the early 2000s. With detached and semi-detached as a top choice, the community mostly caters to young families. If you have children and you're looking for a child-friendly community, this might be the perfect area for you.

Sonoma Heights
Nestled between Islington Avenue and Highway 407, Sonoma Heights is just under one hour away from Toronto. It is one of the newer neighbourhoods and counts around 4,000 homes including detached, townhomes and semis. With lots of parks, scenic views, reliable transportation, and good schools, it is one of the favourite places for families, but the occasional retiree or young professional has also found their home here.

Kleinburg
This historic neighbourhood is mostly characterized by the gorgeous 19th-century historic mansions and buildings that add a special quaint charm to the community. Kleinburg is one of those neighbourhoods where you can be taken two centuries back but still find all modern-day amenities around the corner. There is also a variety of new builds which fit in perfectly with the surrounding and the Victorian-era architecture.

Islington Woods
This area is known for its diverse architecture and different types of homes from custom builds to condos in all shapes and sizes. Islington Woods appeals to different resident profiles as they have a wide selection to pick from in different budget as well as style categories. The neighbourhood is well-equipped with all kinds of amenities, including community centres, parks, schools, etc.

West Woodbridge
West Woodbridge is a true representation of a perfect blend of the old and the new. The quaint community boasts numerous shops, charming bakeries, restaurants, etc., especially on Market Lane. Housing options vary from classic detached to highly modern condos, so there is practically something for everyone.

All of the Vaughan communities are unique in their own right offering their own little perks and a particular lifestyle while they all contribute to the charm and beauty of the City of Vaughan as one of the most desirable places in the Golden Horseshoe.
